Hi, I’m Amy, founder of Well Happy Minds. As a family coach and therapist with lived experience of ADHD, I understand the emotional challenges families face. My passion is helping parents, teenagers, and safeguarding professionals navigate the complexities of ADHD, all through a trauma-informed lens. Together, we work to build safe, resilient relationships and create lasting, positive outcomes.

I know how lonely and confusing it feels to be navigating neurodiversity when the world around just doesn’t understand. I’m here to support you every step of the way, so you don’t have to feel alone in the journey.

Frontline professionals who feel overwhelmed and lack the right tools to support neurodivergent young people

 I started my career on the frontlines—serving as a police officer, walking into homes where trauma had already taken root. I saw families torn apart not just by crime, but by pain no one ever taught them how to name or manage. I remember holding space for children who had stopped speaking because they were so overwhelmed. I remember mothers who were exhausted but couldn’t afford to stop. And I remember feeling like the systems we worked in were designed to respond to crisis—not to prevent it.

But the truth is, I recognised the patterns because I’d lived them.

As a young mum myself, I didn’t have the resources, tools, or language for trauma. I just knew something felt off—like I was always one step away from burnout or breakdown. Looking back now, I understand that I was navigating the world with undiagnosed ADHD, unresolved trauma, and a nervous system stuck in survival mode.

That lived experience became my why.

Over the years, I’ve trained in psychology, therapeutic coaching, safeguarding, and yoga-based trauma recovery. I worked across policing, family support, and mental health—each role deepening my understanding of how emotional dysregulation, trauma, and neurodivergence show up in families, relationships, and institutions.

Well Happy Minds was born out of a deep belief:

That when we understand our emotions, behaviors, and brains, we can raise children who don’t have to recover from their childhoods—and create systems that truly care.

Now, I offer trauma-informed coaching and training for families, neurodivergent women, and frontline teams who want to break the cycle and build something better.
